Introducing Cavalier Ops

We built Cavalier Ops because we kept running into the same problem.

Organizations investing heavily in security talent, tooling, and training. But the training never quite matched reality. Courses built on outdated material. Labs that bore no resemblance to what production environments actually look like. Certifications that tested memorization instead of operational capability. Meanwhile, the adversaries were not slowing down or waiting for the curriculum to catch up.

We have spent careers across security engineering, red team operations, detection engineering, incident response, and security architecture, working across industries from finance to healthcare to enterprise technology. That experience taught us one thing clearly: the gap between classroom security and operational security is wide, and it costs organizations every day. So we built the training we wished had existed when we were coming up.

Every course at Cavalier Ops is designed by practitioners. Every lab runs in a custom cyber range built to reflect enterprise grade infrastructure: real attack paths, real defensive tooling, real operational workflows. Not simulated checkboxes. Not slide decks followed by multiple choice questions. Environments designed to match what you will actually encounter when you sit down at a SOC console or step into a red team engagement.

This blog is an extension of that same philosophy. We will be publishing content on purple teaming, detection engineering, offensive tradecraft, security operations, and the intersection of all of them. No padding. No SEO filler. Just the kind of cybersecurity content we would want to consume ourselves.

If you are building a career in security, sharpening skills you already have, or trying to understand how modern offense and defense actually interact, you are in the right place. We will be slowly rolling out content in the months to come, establishing an online presence, and buttoning up cybersecurity training and tooling so keep posted for more.

Train with purpose.
Defend with confidence.
Operate with precision.
